    The process

    Six steps. One outcome.

A booked meeting is not a held one. Agree in writing which one gets counted.

    Why it works

    The phone still works.

Where buyers are identifiable and the deal size justifies a conversation.

    01An answer in thirty seconds

Is there a buying cycle, who owns it, and when does it renew? A conversation gives you context.

02Most of the market isn’t buying yet

A call can reach buyers whose renewal is still months out.

    03The channel competitors quit

Calling takes effort and investment. Ask whether it leads the program or sits on the side.

    04Technical products need a conversation

Security and enterprise buyers ask questions a sequence can’t handle.

    What to look for

Six tests of a real calling agency.

Many agencies offer calling. Few lead with it.

    01

    Dedicated callers

They focus on calls, not copy, lists or LinkedIn on the side.

    02

    A parallel dialer

Ask how dialing capacity supports the program, and what volume your plan includes.

    03

    Local presence numbers

Check the calling numbers and coverage for your target market.

    04

    Every call recorded

Coaching on evidence, not opinion. Ask to hear calls into your buyer persona.

    05

    Caller tenure

Ask how many years your specific caller has spent on the phone.

    06

    Dispositions and routing

Every no-answer, objection and follow-up should have a next step.

    The shortlist

    Six agencies. Six best-for calls.

BizDev Labs publishes this guide and is one of the providers reviewed. These are model-based best-for calls, not an independent outcome ranking. Confirm current competitor pricing and scope directly.

    02Leadium

    US based, publishes its price

Price: $3,500 a month for cold call only, month to month. $4,000 to $5,000 multi channel Based: 100% US based SDR team, global research team

Leadium is one of the very few agencies in this category that publishes a number on its own website, and it deserves credit for that. The cold call only program is a flat $3,500 a month, month to month.

They partner with Nooks for the dialing layer, which handles dial volume, transcription, call scoring and AI roleplay for caller training. Research is hand sourced and verified rather than bought in bulk.

Third party data puts typical projects between $10,000 and $49,000 over six months, which lines up with the published monthly rates.

    Strong on

    • Published pricing, which almost nobody else does
    • Month to month
    • 100% US based callers
    • Modern dialing and coaching infrastructure

    What to watch

    • Smaller than the enterprise names here, positioned for SMB and mid market
    • Cold call only at $3,500 means a smaller team than a full BDR team
    • Ask what dial volume the $3,500 actually buys, because that is the number that matters

    03Superhuman Prospecting

Phone first, lowest published entry point

Price: Published floor around $1,125 a month, no long term commitment Based: US based callers only, Norristown, Pennsylvania, founded 2017

One of the few agencies that genuinely leads with the phone rather than treating it as a fallback inside a multi channel sequence. Packages are priced by dial volume, with low cost options aimed at smaller companies, and there are no long term agreements.

They run their own H2H method, with strategists acting as your sales manager and building the script with you. They also disclose more dial data than most, which is rare and useful.

Reviews are strong, scoring 4.9 on G2 at the time of writing.

    Strong on

    • The lowest published entry price of any credible phone first provider
    • US based callers only, stated plainly
    • No long term agreements
    • Unusually transparent about dial volumes

    What to watch

    • Entry tier pricing generally means fewer dials, so compare cost per dial rather than cost per month
    • Also serves B2C, so ask for B2B references in your motion
    • Lower price points usually mean less strategic input on targeting and messaging

    04SalesRoads

    Premium, quality over volume

Price: Tiers published from around $6,950 and $9,500 per four weeks Based: US based, operating since 2007

The longest running provider on this list, in the market since 2007 and having acquired VSA Prospecting. They lead with caller training and conversation quality rather than dial counts, which is a deliberate and defensible position.

They publish tiered pricing per four week cycle, and hold strong review scores, around 4.9 on G2. Named client libraries are among the deepest in the category.

    Strong on

    • Nearly two decades of continuous operation through several shifts in buyer behaviour
    • Emphasis on conversation quality rather than raw dials
    • Published tier pricing
    • Deep named client library

    What to watch

    • Premium pricing that does not suit bootstrapped companies or low deal sizes
    • Some reviewers report high SDR turnover, worth asking about directly
    • Quality over volume is the right instinct, but ask for the dial numbers anyway

    05SalesHive

Lower cost multi channel with calling included

Price: Commonly reported from around $4,000 a month, month to month Based: US and Philippines staffing

SalesHive runs cold calling alongside email and LinkedIn, supported by their own platform. Contracts are month to month and pricing is published, both of which are unusual at this price point.

    Strong on

    • Low commitment and low entry price
    • Calling included rather than sold separately
    • Published pricing

    What to watch

    • Staffing spans the US and the Philippines. Ask specifically where your caller sits
    • Lower price generally means less senior callers
    • Phone is one of three channels rather than the centre of the model

    06memoryBlue

Premium staffing with an audition to hire path

Price: Commonly reported from around $11,000 a month Based: Multi office US, 30+ languages

memoryBlue trains early career sellers through its own academy and places them on client accounts, with an audition to hire path if you want to convert the rep onto your payroll.

    Strong on

    • The clearest path from rented caller to hired employee
    • Deep bench and multilingual coverage
    • Recognised name in enterprise procurement

    What to watch

    • Early career reps by design, which is a real constraint on technical products
    • Premium price without the caller seniority you might assume
    • You are partly funding a recruitment pipeline, which only pays off if you intend to hire

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a cold calling agency cost in the USA?
Most US based programs run $3,500 to $8,000 a month as a retainer. Entry options start near $1,000 to $3,000, usually with blended or offshore callers and fewer dials. Premium providers run $8,000 to $15,000 or more. Per appointment models are commonly $300 to $1,500 per booked meeting, and per dial models $0.75 to $2.50 per call.
What is the best cold calling agency in the USA?
It depends on what you need. For a phone led program with a full supporting team, BizDev Labs. For published pricing and month to month flexibility with US only callers, Leadium. For the lowest published entry price with a phone first model, Superhuman Prospecting. For premium quality and a long track record, SalesRoads. For low cost multi channel, SalesHive. For an audition to hire path, memoryBlue.
How many dials should a cold caller make per day?
40 to 60 with manual dialing, or 200 or more using a parallel dialer, which works out to roughly 1,000 dials a week for a dedicated caller. If a provider cannot tell you their dial volume, that is an answer in itself.
What is a good cold call connect rate?
Four to eight percent of dials reaching a human is typical in B2B. Below that, look at data quality and whether local presence numbers are being used before questioning the caller.
Should the callers be US based?
It depends on your buyer, not on principle. Some markets react to accent and time zone, some do not. What matters more is caller tenure and whether they can hold a technical conversation. Ask where your specific caller sits, get the answer before you sign, and ask to hear three recordings into your buyer persona.
Is cold calling still effective in 2026?
In markets where the buyer is identifiable and deal sizes justify a conversation, yes. It remains the fastest way to discover whether a buy cycle exists. It works poorly for low deal sizes, undefined targets, and companies without capacity to take the meetings it books.
Should I pay per appointment or a monthly retainer?
A per appointment price rewards volume and punishes rigour, because the provider earns more by pushing marginal meetings. A retainer makes quality the only thing they can compete on. If you do use per appointment, define what qualified means in writing and measure on meetings held rather than booked.
How quickly can a cold calling program start producing?
BizDev Labs launches in 14 days. Review account quality and messaging early, then use real outreach, follow-ups and call feedback to judge performance. Agree on checkpoints with your provider rather than assuming a fixed date for results.
What should I ask before signing?
Who is my caller and how long have they been on the phone. How many dials a week. Do you use a parallel dialer and local presence numbers. Are all calls recorded and can I hear three into my buyer persona. What happens to a no answer. What counts as a qualified meeting, in writing.
Cold calling or cold email, which should I start with?
If your deal size supports a conversation and your buyer is identifiable, start with the phone, because it produces answers fastest. Email scales coverage more cheaply but tells you far less when it fails. The strongest programs run both, with the phone leading and email covering the accounts the phone misses.
